Maasai Simba Camp is in Merrueshi Ranch close to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The camp is just 35 minutes away form Emali train station on A109 and 40 minutes away from Loitokitok town on the Tanzanian border. The camp is 2.5 hours away from Nairobi city. The property itself can be easily accessed from highway C102. See map of area on the left column.
The camp boosts the best of what the Amboseli wilderness has to offer. The village of Merrueshi, where simba camp is located, is a major wildlife corridor between Amboseli and the picturesque mountain range of Chyulu Hills National Park.
We are off-the-beaten-path, not visited by hundreds of tourists every day. We only accept limited groups a year. Main attraction includes exclusive and authentic cultural experience with the Maasai, hundreds of wildlife such as zebra, wildebeest, ostrich, gazelles, eland, and Maasai giraffe that depend on abundant acacia trees along the Kiboko River, which is also the primary water source for people and wildlife in Merrueshi Ranch. Illusive leopard, lion, and cheetah are also found in the area. Highlights includes a full day game drive to Amboseli National Park and daily walking safari lead by the Maasai warriors.
Apart from visiting our area we also offer travelers the opportunity to visit other wildlife parks including, but not limited to Tsavo West national Park, Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Nakuru National Park and more. Just let us know where else you'd like to visit and we will take you there.
